For those of you who don't know, the cozonac is a kind of sweet bread, a tradition on Christmas and Easter in Romania and Bulgaria. The Romanian cozonac is made of a classic dough, to which a filling of raisins, cocoa, rum flavor, nuts and sometimes Turkish delight are added. With the Christmas coming, I plan on making all kinds of muffins and cupcakes and I was hoping my parents will make the traditional cozonac. But they prefer buying them, so I decided making a recipe for cozonac muffins. This is the result:
And this is what you'll need to make them:
2 cups flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
2/3 cup sugar
2 eggs
2/3 cup milk
1 cup melted butter
1 tablespoon rum flavor
1 tablespoon vanilla extract
For the filling, you will need:
100 grams milled wallnuts
2 tablespoons milk
2 tablespoons sugar
1 tablespoon rum flavor
1 tablespoon cocoa
a fistful of raisins
1. Preheat oven at 350 F, 180 C and prepare your muffin pan.
2. Mix all the ingredients for the filling, set aside.
3. Mix all the dry ingredients.
4. Mix all the wet ingredients.
5. Mix everything together.
6. Use one spoon of batter, then one spoon of filling and another spoon of batter for each muffin.
7. Bake, don't burn for 18-20 minutes of until a toothpick comes out clean. Let them cool for about 5 minutes before serving.

COZONAC MUFFINS SUPER USOARE
M-am gandit ca de Craciun sa fac multe muffins si cupcakes si speram ca ai mei sa faca traditionalul cozonac. Dar cum ei prefera sa-l cumpere, m-am hotarat sa fac o reteta pentru cozonac muffins. Si asta este rezultatul. De asta o sa ai nevoie ca sa le faci:

2 cani faina
2 lingurite praf de copt
1/4 lingurita sare
2/3 cana zahar
2 oua
2/3 cana lapte
1 cana unt topit
1 lingura esenta de rom
1 lingura esenta de vanilie
Pentru umplutura vei avea nevoie de:
100 grame nuci macinate
2 linguri lapte
2 linguri zahar
1 lingura esenta de rom
1 lingura cacao
un pumn de stafide
1. Preincalzeste cuptorul la 350 F, 180 C si pregateste tava de muffins.
2. Amesteca toate ingredientele pentru umplutura, pune deoparte.
3. Amesteca toate ingredientele uscate.
4. Amesteca toate ingredientele umede.
5. Amesteca totul impreuna (fara umplutura).
6. Pune o lingura de aluat, o lingura de umplutura si apoi iar o lingura de aluat pentru fiecare muffin.
7. Coace, nu arde aproximativ 18-20 minute sau pana cand o scobitoare uese curata. Lasa-le 5 minute sa se raceasca inainte de a le servi.
